Our quilts have been carefully hand-crafted using traditional methods and therefore require special attention to ensure their qualities give long-lasting satisfaction.
- Made of 100 percent cotton or linen, these bedspreads can be machine-washed in a delicate cycle in lukewarm water. We suggest you use a professional dry cleaning company and ask for the item to be wet-washed and line-dried.
- If washing at home in your washing machine, do not overload it as the bedspread needs to move freely inside to avoid any damage.
- Avoid spot cleaning or soaking, as this may cause the fabric to bleed.
- Do not bleach, dry clean, or tumble dry.
- Hang to dry promptly after washing.
- Pull the bedspread into shape while still damp to reduce shrinkage by 5-7 percent.
- Avoid direct sunlight.
- Natural dyes have been used to dye and print these fabrics, so some may fade over time. This adds to the bedspread's heirloom nature.
